3D printing
Need a 3D object printed for research, teaching and study? It is possible at the University Library's Tech Lab, in the New University Building.
Webcam or headset
You can borrow a webcam or headset from the University Library desk. This allows you to participate in online lectures and meetings from a fixed PC on campus without disturbing others.
DVD-player
Want to watch a DVD from our collection but can't play it? At the counter you can borrow a compact DVD player that you can easily connect to your laptop or Mac via USB
Microfiches or microfilm
Some publications have been published in microform. You can also request these via LibSearch. If you are unable to select a specific volume, you can indicate exactly what you need on the request form.
The University Library has equipment to read microfiches and microfilms and to save them as pdf files on a USB stick. Manuals are available in Dutch and English. If you need assistance in using the equipment, you can make an appointment. See the contact details at the bottom of this page.
Scanning
In the Special Collections reading room there is a scanner with which you can digitise archives or old prints in high resolution. Some objects are too large or too vulnerable for this scanner. In that case, one of our curators will advise and assist you with the digitisation by appointment.
For scanning other documents, you can use the multifunctionals that are available throughout the campus.
