Much of the research at VU Amsterdam is done within interfaculty Research Institutes, combining research from many different fields under a single banner. This interdisciplinary approach offers researchers in Humanities the opportunity to develop their research in conjunction with social scientists, economists and landscape researchers, or to set up digital humanities projects with the help of computer scientists.
