Ecology & Evolution

The section Ecology and Evolution answers fundamental ecological and evolutionary questions regarding the relationship between organisms and their environment at the full array of hierarchical levels: from molecular ecology to ecosystem research.

We use state-of-the art genetic, molecular and phenotyping techniques to study evolutionary adaptation to environmental stressors and species interactions in changing landscapes. We use cutting edge experimental laboratory and field approaches in a variety of study ecosystems and model organisms. Ecology & Evolution is home to an international, inclusive, and collaborative group of researchers. Our goal is to make innovative contributions to the fundamental field of Ecology and Evolution worldwide and bring new insights to issues of societal relevance, such as urbanisation, nature conservation and sustainable agriculture.
