We develop novel tools to study and diagnose tissue and cells, covering the full range from lab to patient. Toward this goal, we develop and employ linear light scattering techniques (optical coherence tomography and digital holography), nonlinear microscopy (higher harmonic generation microscopy, Raman microscopy), wavefront shaping and compressive sensing technology and develop novel catheters, endoscopes, and sensors based on photonic integrated circuits. For image reconstruction and automated image analysis, we develop tools and algorithms based on machine learning.
