Starting this September, we’ll provide 20 to 30-minute guided meditations again. These meditations will be on Monday, Thursday and Friday from 1 to 1:30 PM. More information on time and place is below.
It doesn’t matter if you have a load of meditation experience, or if you are just a beginner. No need to bring anything; mats, cushions and stools are provided. Just wear something that will sit comfortably on your body for 20 to 30 minutes.
The schedule will be thus:
- Every Monday at 1 PM, Ester guides us through a presence meditation in the VU Silence Room (HG 1A-53).
- Every Thursday, we have a rotating schedule. Once per month, Iris guides us through a meditation to support steps to discover more of your inner self and provide a way to your Higher Consciousness. Once or twice per month, Thirza will guide a Christian meditation, which focuses on a Biblical text or provides space to focus your attention on God during the day. The text-focused meditations will use the Lectio Divina method – a spiritual practice originating in the monastic tradition. Fieke guides us once or twice per month in a meditation that focuses on the power of the imagination, to provide calm, awareness and self-compassion. The Thursday meditations occur in the Silence Room (HG 1A-53) at 1 PM.
- Every Friday, Pipa guides us in a meditation that deepens our connection to the present moment. It’s a space to set intentions and embrace the core of who you are. Here, you can focus on inner peace and cultivate mindfulness. These meditations occur in the Mindful Library (HG 12B-02) at 1 PM – you can find this space on the 12th floor in the library tower.
