Route description and accessibility

The location of the VU Campus, adjacent to Amsterdam’s Zuidas and nearby Schiphol airport, makes it a readily accessible rendezvous.

Accessibility of the VU Campus

The VU buildings are all situated around a central campus square. With the nearby train station Amsterdam Zuid, the North/South metro line , as well as the metro lines 50 and 51, tram lines 5, 24 and 25 and busses with stops near the Main Building, the VU Campus is easily accessible with public transportation. The A10 allows for great accessibility by car as well. You can find the route descriptions for car and public transport below.

    - 13 to 16 June: A4 and A10 South will be closed up to and including the Amstel interchange. Exit S109 towards A10 East and A2 will also be closed. There will also be no trains to Amsterdam South.

    - 12 July to 20 August: long-term closure Amstelveenseweg near the A10 for cars. From 12 July to 19 July, tram 24 will not run. Bus service remains but stops will be moved.
