VU Chamber Orchestra

Concerts
As a VU employee, you can attend concerts by the VU music groups for free: in fact, 35 seats have been made available for each regular concert, funded by the Executive Board.
VU Chamber Orchestra
On the threshold of spring, the VU Chamber Orchestra plays music that hints that spring really will be here soon after all: Carl Nielsen's Overture Helios is an ode to the sun, and in Ralph Vaughan Williams' The Lark Ascending we can already hear the lark singing. The violin solo as well as the lark is performed by the talented young violinist Sergueï Milstein. But even though spring is really coming, we first dream away to winter with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky's First Symphony, which combines desolate snow plains with cheerful folk songs. Dream away to winter lights and games in the snow, and look forward to spring!
On Saturday 15 March 2025 at 20:15 in the Tuindorpkerk, Professor Suringarlaan 1 in Utrecht. Free tickets for this performance can be found here, should the 35 tickets be given up, this is the place for regular sales.
