Design and Production

FMIB masters many mechanical production and design techniques. We use state of the art CAD, CAM and simulation software and have a well equipped workshop.

CATIA-V5
We rely on CATIA-V5 as our primary CAD software for mechanical design. Within CATIA, we harness the power of Finite Element Modules for tasks like frequency and stress analysis. Furthermore, CATIA's visualization capabilities consistently prove invaluable during project discussions involving our technicians and scientists.

(CNC) Turning and Milling
Within the FMIB workshop, you'll find an array of both traditional and advanced CNC milling and turning machines at your disposal.

Welding Techniques
FMIB employs various welding techniques, including TIG and MIG, to weld materials such as stainless steel, aluminum, and steel. For delicate and precise workpieces, we utilize plasma welding, while spot welding accommodates pieces ranging from large to small.

Sheet Metal Work
Our workshop enables precise metal and plastic operations such as cutting, bending, and shearing, spanning from tenths of millimeters to up to 2 meters in size.

Glasswork
While our core expertise lies elsewhere, we can facilitate contact with a specialized firm to handle your glasswork requirements.

Optical Components
Within our LaserLab, we maintain a comprehensive inventory of standardized optical components, encompassing lenses, mirrors, prisms, and more. These components are fully compatible, and FMIB not only stocks them but also manages their production through outsourcing when necessary.
