  • Entrepreneurship in Biomedical Physics and Technology

    Entrepreneurship is a crucial subject for students and professionals, including those in the life sciences field. The rapid advancements and complexities in life sciences technology demand an entrepreneurial mindset in thinking, acting, and communicating.

    Understanding entrepreneurship theory is crucial for AI students as it equips them with the knowledge to identify and capitalize on entrepreneurial opportunities in the rapidly evolving field of AI and data science. It provides insights into the role of innovation and disruptive AI technologies in driving ventures.

  • Entrepreneurship in Renewable Energy

    As part of an Erasmus+ project, the Master course Entrepreneurship in Renewable Energy was developed, in collaboration with Association Leonard De Vinci (France), Vaasan Yliopisto (Finland), Universitat Politecnia de Valencia (Spain), Hogskolan I Halmstad (Sweden) and Europroject (Bulgaria). The course welcomes master students with diverse educational backgrounds. After following the course, students: 

    • Are familiar with an innovation outlook on entrepreneurship in renewable energy.
    • Are aware that value-adding opportunities not only contain financial aspects but also social and ecological aspects (sustainable entrepreneurship).
    • Have developed insight into, and actual developed, one’s own enterprising competences.
    • Have learned about the processes involved in the recognition and exploitation of opportunities, about creating societal value and about the nature and role of networks.
    • Have gained the ability to write a feasibility plan on how to bring an innovation to the market.
    • Have gained knowledge of different entrepreneurial processes and the importance of valorization of scientific findings and business ideas for a knowledge-based economy.

  • Entrepreneurship in Human Movement Sciences (EHMS)

    Understanding entrepreneurship principles allows students to identify gaps in the human movement industry, innovate new solutions, and create their own ventures, such as sports performance technology startups or health and fitness services.

  • The Entrepreneurial Doctor (TED)

    A specific course in entrepreneurship was developed for the general practitioners training for Medicine students. More information follows soon!

  • Societal Entrepreneurship in Health and Life Sciences

    This course combines theoretical and practical components, running simultaneously to apply theoretical knowledge in real-world scenarios. The theory covers societal entrepreneurship, exploring concepts like CSR and feasibility assessment. The practical aspect involves creating a business plan for a socially relevant enterprise or transitioning to a socially responsible organization, utilizing the Business Model Canvas. The business plans created by the students will be evaluated by a panel of financiers, who will assess the plans based on their level of creativity and feasibility.
