EQUIS
EQUIS, the European Quality Improvement System, is a leading international system of quality assessment, improvement, and accreditation of higher education institutions in management and business administration. Arjen van Witteloostuijn, the Dean of SBE, expressed his pride in this achievement, stating: "Obtaining not only AACSB Business but also Accounting accreditation was a milestone. Now, with the addition of EQUIS accreditation, we are further solidifying our position as a global leader in business and economics education. It reflects our unwavering dedication to excellence and the tireless efforts of our exceptional staff and students."
AACSB
The School of Business and Economics (SBE) of VU Amsterdam became the first faculty in the European Union to receive dual AACSB Business and Accounting accreditation. Accreditation by AACSB is a public acknowledgement that a business school has achieved a high standard of education and research. Students are assured of high quality and continuous improvement in education. For academics, this means the guarantee that research is conducted at the highest level. Some international companies also recruit mainly from AACSB-accredited institutions.
