Do you need an employer statement? On behalf of Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam the HR Service Desk can prepare one for you, as part of a:
- mortgage request or rental request
- proof on no income
- visa (business trip)
- A1 Certificate (Certificate of Coverage for social security)
Please note: the HR Service Desk requests this statement for you at the SVB. The processing time at the SVB takes some time. Therefore, please request the A1 statement three months in advance. - PhD
Request an employer statement with the 'Take Action now' button on this page.
If you have received a form from the relevant authority, you can send this form by email to the HR Service Desk. In that case, the HR Service Desk will use the enclosed form.
Declaration of intent
If you have a temporary employment contract (a fixed-term contract), generally a declaration of intent is also required. A declaration of intent serves as a declaration of continuation of employment under the conditions that your performance and business conditions remain unchanged.
Only when you have a temporary employment contract, the self-service option asks whether you also need a declaration of intent. If you answer ‘yes’ to this, a workflow is started. Your manager will then receive a task to formally declare intent. The HR Service Desk then prepares the employer statement for you.
Salary data reference date
The employer's statement is automatically processed with the salary data as it is currently in effect. It may be that at the time of your application it has been announced that a new collective agreement has been concluded, whereby salaries will change with a future date. These new salaries cannot be included in the employer's statement in advance, as they are not yet effective at the time of processing. If you want the employer's statement to be based on the new salaries, you will have to wait with the application until the moment the new salaries are effective.
