What I do
I work based on a draft text you supplied, or a vacancy text that I retrieve from the ATS myself. I edit the text manually and with the Textmetrics program. This program looks at search engine optimization (SEO), readability and target audience, among other things. I use B1 as the level for the text (according to the European Framework of Reference for Languages), because that reads pleasantly. But I often leave the more difficult words, such as those related to the job, untouched. Textmetrics also analyzes whether the text is attractive to a male or female target audience, sounds positive and appears credible.
Improved job descriptions
I also proactively offer my work, you may have encountered that before. The moment your vacancy goes to the HR Advisor for approval, I get a notification. Then I copy the advertisement as it is in the ATS to Word and start rewriting it. When it is finished, I send an email with the new version attached. You are free to use my text (or not), or to make changes to it. Nothing is officially changed without your permission! Sometimes I add comments or questions. If you would like to respond, or if you have any other question or comment, please let me know.
Sometimes you get a message like this when the vacancy is already online. Then the HR Advisor has already approved the vacancy before I have had time to edit. Editing takes more time than checking by the HR Advisor. This is of course not always ideal, but we want to offer this service without causing delays. If you would like feedback earlier in the process, you can email me! Below you can read how that works.
Requests
Write a draft advertisement that conforms to the format as it appears in the ATS. Send me an email with your draft text attached. I will then get to work for you! If you email me a week before publication, we can work together to formulate a good text in time.
