Vacancy process employee vacancies

Last updated on 2 April 2024
Because of the new software for recruitment (ATS), the vacancy process has changed. Below you will find more information about the approval process and the delivery lead times.

Approval process

Every employee can start the process of making a vacancy in the ATS with his or her VUwebID. The vacancy holder (employee who has the vacancy) enters the vacancy in the system. He or she can also delegate this to, for example, a secretary. The vacancy holder will be called the project manager. Once all the details are completed the approval process starts:

Step 1:
The project manager or secretary starts the approval process.

Step 2:
The project manager automatically receives an email to approve the vacancy. The project manager then approves the delegate's input. If the project manager entered the vacancy himself, he or she needs to confirms this for a second time.

Step 3:
The vacancy is then forwarded to the selected HR Advisor. You can find the up-to-date overview of the HR Advisors here. The HR Advisor checks the vacancy and gives his or her approval.

Step 4:
HRMAM is responsible for publishing the vacancies. This is being done on our own VU-channels VU.nl, Werkenbij.vu.nl and https://interne-vacatures.vu.nl. In English on workingat.vu.nl and https://internal-jobs.vu.nl.
