After Research

Last updated on 9 September 2024
What do you need to do with your data after you've completed your research?

Once you've completed your research, you should follow the VU's guidance on Open Access publishing. You can find more information on that topic here. Once you have published research article(s) on your findings, you must also archive your data to allow for verification of your results. Further guidance on archiving in the faculty can be found here.

You may also wish to publish the data generated during your research so that it can be reused by other researchers for new purposes. However, it is very important that you have ensured that all privacy, legal and ethical requirements have been met before doing so. This is why the planning stage is so important.
