Research data management (RDM) concerns the organisation, documentation, storage, archiving and sharing of digital and analogue data. Proper RDM ensures reliable verification of results, and permits new and innovative research built on existing information. In other words, proper RDM makes data more FAIR (findable, accessible, interoperable and reusable) as it supports the transparency of scientific output. This portal provides an overview of the research support VU has to offer. The LibGuide toolbox provides practical information and guidelines for working with research data, as well as how to approach open research.
An overview of the usage of RDM services and infrastructure in 2023 is given in the RDM monitor.
