In a series of ART SCIENCE dialogues we hope to develop a better understanding of migration and its different motivators, history, religion, economic changes, war and colonialism.
The third ART SCIENCE dialogue for Foreign Land will focus on artist Benjamin Li and his artworks in the exhibition. Benjamin will enter into dialogue with Betty de Hart, professor of transnational families and migration law at VU Amsterdam.
Art highlights human experience, while science approaches the theme objectively. By bringing together different perspectives from art and science, Foreign Land aims to make a constructive contribution to the social debate on migration.
