Matthijs Warrens

Matthijs Warrens

Matthijs Warrens is a professor (adjunct) of Educational Sciences at the Department of Pedagogical and Educational Sciences at the University of Groningen. He is director of education of the department, which offers two Bachelor’s and two Master’s programs. In educational sciences, his expertise covers school careers, equality of opportunity in education, track recommendations and attainment tests, and job demands and resources of teachers. In statistics, his expertise covers machine learning, correlation coefficients and clustering methods. He is currently a principal investigator of NRO funded research projects on educational transitions between special and regular education, and on teacher professional development focused on students’ externalizing behavior in (special) secondary education.
