Although fatigue in Multiple Sclerosis (MS) can be effectively treated with cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) for fatigue, implementation of this treatment in clinical practice is hindered by limited therapist capacity. In addition, long term effectiveness of CBT is unclear, leaving room for improvement. This thesis focussed on testing the effectiveness of a blended treatment format of cognitive behavioural therapy for MS-related fatigue and improving the long-term outcome of this treatment. In addition, this thesis aimed to increase our understanding of factors related to fatigue and the treatment response to CBT, in order to seek opportunities to further improve treatment of severe fatigue in people living with MS. and other chronic conditions In the future.
