Frank van Ommeren has long been a professor of Constitutional and Administrative Law at this faculty. The Executive Board and the faculty are convinced that with Frank, they have appointed a visionary and highly committed dean. With his creative connecting ability, he will work with the faculty community to further the faculty's ambitions.
Jeroen Geurts, rector magnificus: "I am very pleased that Frank van Ommeren will become dean of the Faculty of Law. Frank is an energetic, enterprising and passionate lawyer, scholar and manager and will be able to lead the faculty to further prosperity. With Frank van Ommeren, prof. dr. Hemme Battjes gets a worthy successor."
Frank van Ommeren on his appointment: "I very much look forward to contributing to the many great things happening in our School of Law, together with the colleagues of the faculty. We are still sometimes a bit too modest about these. The significance of law and justice for our society is greater than many realise, especially in these times."
