Juan Juan Cai wins M-grant for research on survival analysis of cancer patients

Juan Juan Cai’s innovative research project on predicting cure chances and long term survival of cancer patients is awarded a M-grant by the Dutch Research Council (NWO).

Juan Juan Cai, in collaboration with Eni Musta (University of Amsterdam) has been awarded with a NWO-open competition M2 grant in domain science. The grant will fund two PhD positions dedicated to the project titled "Seeing Beyond the Study Duration: Extreme Value Theory for Long-Term Survival and Cure Chances.”

About the M-grant

M-grants are intended for realising curiosity-driven, fundamental research of high quality and/or scientific urgency. The M-grant offers researchers the possibility to elaborate creative and risky ideas and to realise scientific innovations that can form the basis for the research themes of the future.
