On Thursday, December 13th, the SBE Educator community gathered to celebrate the many achievements of 2024 and the invaluable contributions of educators who uphold the VU School of Business and Economics as a hub of education and innovation.
Several members of the KIN Center for Digital Innovation were recognized for their outstanding contributions to education:
- Francesco Balocco was nominated for the SBE Junior Education Award. In his teaching Francesco aims to craft immersive educational experiences: from email threads and interviews to character backgrounds and quotes, generative AI offers new ways to convey meaning. His approach exemplifies how AI can drive meaningful innovation in education.
- Nina Schirrmacher received the Canvas Award for her work in the Qualitative Methods course within the International Business Administration program. The award recognizes her creative use of Canvas to make course content engaging and accessible for students.
- Lukas Falcke was honored with the SBE Junior Education Award. For the second year in a row, Lukas was commended for his work in the Digital Innovation Lab course in the Digital Business and Innovation Master's program. Every year the course concludes with a grand final event at the ABN Headquarters, where students showcase the innovative digital solutions they developed to a jury.
Congratulations to all the nominees and winners for their remarkable achievements!
