3 April 2025
The Master's programme in Biomedical Technology and Physics at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam has been recognized as one of the best in its field according to the Keuzegids Masters 2025. This prestigious distinction shows our department commitment to providing top-tier education and affirms the hard work and dedication of our faculty and students.

The Keuzegids Masters 2025, published on March 27, 2025, assesses Master's programmes across the Netherlands, evaluating them on various criteria including student satisfaction, quality of education, and career prospects. Achieving this recognition speaks volumes about the positive atmosphere and the high-quality curriculum that our department offers.

Rector Magnificus Jeroen Geurts expressed his pride, stating, "This result is a wonderful recognition of the hard work and dedication of our lecturers. At the same time, it is a motivation to continue growing together. Because you don't grow alone, you do it together. Proud of our team!"

The Master's in Biomedical Technology and Physics is among eight new entries this year that have excelled in providing exceptional educational experiences, as evidenced by their rankings. This programme stands out not only for its educational content but also for the comprehensive career preparation it offers to its graduates, ensuring they are well-equipped for their future endeavours.

As department of Physics and Astronomy, we invite prospective students and professionals to explore the unique opportunities that our programme offers.

John Kennis has been appointed as the new Program Director for the MNW & BMTP at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, succeeding Marloes Groot, whom we sincerely thank for her dedicated leadership.
