Amazing women like Jane Austen (1775 - 1817), Florence Nightingale (1820 - 1910), Emmeline Pankhurst (1858-1928), Rosalind Franklin (1920 - 1958), Betje Wolff (1738-1801) and Aagje Deken (1741 – 1804) to name a few, have changed our world. Watch the screen in the university building during the month of March, to learn more about some amazing women.
We will organise a lunch meeting (date tbd) where VU colleague Edwina Hagen will talk about the informal power of diplomate’s wives at the end of the 18th century in various European countries.
