De Spiegelonderzoek is founded by Younes Younes, researcher at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, member of the Co-creation for Inclusive Knowledge Lab, and co-founder of the Yalla Foundation. We aim to create research that drives meaningful social change.
Our Expertise in Capacity Building:
- Community-Based Research: We actively involve refugees in the research process, building their skills and amplifying their voices to ensure they play a central role in shaping the outcomes.
- Training and Empowerment: We train refugees to become skilled research interviewers and data collectors, enhancing their professional capabilities and contributing to their personal development.
- Fieldwork and Surveys: Our approach includes culturally sensitive fieldwork and tailored survey methods that capture genuine insights from diverse communities.
- Interpretation and Data Analysis: With skilled interpreters and advanced analytical tools, we turn raw data into actionable insights that inform decision-making and policy development.
Our work with academic institutions, NGOs, government bodies, and businesses is guided by a commitment to produce research that not only informs but also empowers. At De Spiegelonderzoek, we believe in using research as a tool to build capacity and create opportunities for those who need it most.
