Once the supervisor and any co-supervisors have judged that the manuscript meets the relevant requirements, they shall approve it and the manuscript may be submitted to the Doctorate Board.
The Doctorate Board has the task of assessing the manuscript on the basis of the final requirements as stated in the Doctorate Regulations and decides whether the manuscript is of sufficient quality to allow the candidate to proceed to the defence.
After the PhD candidate has been admitted to the defense, a date for the ceremony is agreed in consultation with the Beadles Office. As soon as this date has been set, the PhD candidate will receive instructions and information about the printing and distribution of the dissertation.
