SYNERGIES, a European co-funded initiative, strives to cultivate a culture of disaster readiness. Through collaboration, we engage various stakeholders—first responders, citizens, civil society, researchers, authorities, and businesses—in preparedness efforts.
Our focus centers on five critical areas: inclusive participation, education and training enhancement, citizen communication, spontaneous volunteer management, and sustainable solutions. By integrating research from past EU projects, SYNERGIES refines practices and guides real-life preparedness cases in Reunion, Malta, and Rotterdam. Our objectives encompass citizen empowerment, education improvement, effective communication, volunteer management, and sustainability integration in disaster management practices.
