ACCORD advances the understanding of cultural and religious diversity.

Amsterdam Centre for New Testament Studies
The Amsterdam Centre for New Testament Studies seeks to foster research in the field of New Testament Studies within the Department of Texts and Traditions at the Faculty of Religion and Theology of Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.

Amsterdam Centre for Religion and Peace & Justice Studies
The Amsterdam Centre for Religion and Peace & Justice Studies is an academic research centre focusing on issues related to peace and justice at the intersection of religion with interdisciplinary and interreligious approaches.

The Amsterdam Centre for Religion and Sustainable Development (ACRSD)
The Amsterdam Centre for Religion and Sustainable Development (ACRSD) seeks a dynamic interaction between scientific disciplines and societal partners on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG’s) through a range of activities. It has an extensive and relevant national and international network.

Amsterdam Centre for the History and Heritage of Protestantism
The Amsterdam Centre for History and Heritage of Protestantism (ACHHP) conducts research into the history of the different traditions and movements of Protestantism until around 1800. 

Arminius Instituut
The Arminius instituut is an institution for Remonstrant theology, with attention to questions from academic theology, the church and society.

Bernard Lievegoed Research Centre
The Bernard Lievegoed Research Centre was launched in 2017, which focuses on anthroposophically inspired care in the care of the mentally handicapped and the elderly.

The Centre for Buddhism and Dialogue
The Centre for Buddhism and Dialogue conducts research into the several Buddhist traditions in their societal context, and the dialogue they engage in with Christianity, secularism, spiritual care, psychology and medical sciences.

Centre for Contextual Biblical Interpretation (CCBI)
The Centre for Contextual Biblical Interpretation is a cooperation of the Protestant Theological University and the Faculty of Religion and Theology of Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. It stimulates and organizes various activities concerning reading and interpretation of the Bible and develops activities in both teaching and research. It brings together people using the Bible in different contexts and from different perspectives.

Centre for Islamic Theology
The Centre for Islamic Theology (CIT) focuses on the study of Islamic theology as a scientific academic discipline and praxis in the Dutch context.

Centre for Patristic Research (CPO)
The inter-academic Centre for Patristic Research (CPO) is an initiative of the Faculty of Religion and Theology of VU Amsterdam and the Faculty Catholic Theology (FKT) of the University of Tilburg. The CPO is a joint property of both universities. The CPO serves a scientific and oecumenical purpose. The CPO aims at scientific research into the first developments in Christian thinking concerning mankind, society, Creation and the Holy Trinity and their connection.

Center for Religion and Law
The Center for Religion and Law is a partnership between the Faculty of Law and the Faculty of Religion and Theology at VU Amsterdam.

CLUE+
The Faculty of Theology participates in CLUE+. CLUE+ is the interfaculty Research Institute for Culture, Cognition, History and Heritage of VU Amsterdam.

Eep Talstra Centre for Bible and Computer
The Eep Talstra Centre for Bible and Computer does scientific research on the texts and linguistics of the Hebrew Bible.

Herman Bavinck Center for Reformed and Evangelical Theory (HBCRET)
The Herman Bavinck Center for Reformed and Evangelical Theory (HBCRET) seeks to study and advance the tradition of Reformed theology that inspired the founders of Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.

Hollenweger Center
The Hollenweger Center for the Interdisciplinary Study of Pentecostalism and Charismatic Movements.

Institute for Academic Study of Eastern Christianity (INASEC)
The Institute for Academic Study of Eastern Christianity (INASEC) is an international academic platform for high-quality interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary research on Eastern Orthodoxy.

International Reformed Theological Institute
The International Reformed Theological Institute is an international network of involved Reformed scholars, working in the field of systematic theology, church history and ecumenical theology.
