There are disabled parking spaces in the vicinity of all VU buildings. Every building has at least one wheelchair-accessible entrance and all restaurants as well as the university library are wheelchair accessible. A number of toilets have also been fully adapted for disabled use.

Accessibility VU buildings
All VU buildings have at least one wheelchair accessible entrance. Not all the rooms are accessible and in order to use certain lifts, you need a lift pass. Students can request a lift pass by contacting the academic advisor of your faculty.
Access passes to the wheelchair-accessible entrance of the W&N building (1083-A) and to the courtyard entrance of the Main Building are available from toegangsbeheer.fco@vu.nl. Opening hours Access Management: 09:00-16:00 hrs. Employees or renters can request access via the Service portal: VU card - Request additional access.
Most buildings have one or more lifts that can be used by people with a disability. These lifts have an intercom and camera to check in at the reception.
Parking on the VU Campus
Visitors who want to make use of the parking facilities on the VU campus due to a disability, please send an email to servicedesk.fco@vu.nl.
Are you an employee and in possession of a valid disability card? Then apply for a parking permit through Parcfacility.
If you are a student, fill in and submit the form Parking pass application for VU students with a disability (only available in Dutch).
If you are not a national or European disability cardholder, make an appointment with Mariëlle Rozemond on 020-5989010 or at m.h.rozemond@vu.nl to find out whether you are eligible for the pass. For students: please contact the academic advisor of your faculty.

Facilities for students
In addition to the above, the following facilities are available to students:
- Personal locker (for storing smaller aids, textbooks etc.)
- A quiet space
- Storage space for larger equipment
- Loan service for software and hardware to make studying easier, available through the Audio-Visual Centre and UC-IT
- Adjustable desks and chairs etc. in the larger lecture halls
- Additional guidance and support
