Explore all aspects of the human body

How does your body convert food into energy? What happens in the immune system when someone falls ill? How do you research new treatment methods for a disease like cancer?

During the Bachelor of Biomedical Sciences at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, you will study in detail the processes that take place in the human body—both in sickness and in health.

Note: Biomedical Sciences applies a Numerus Fixus for the academic year 2025-2026. The application deadline for this programme is 15 January 2025. Continue reading on the Admission page.
