Make computers work for us

After completing your bachelor degree, you can launch your career immediately: computer scientists are in high demand.

If you’re keen to keep on studying, you can opt for one of our master degree programmes.

During your studies in Computer Science, you have learned from inspiring teachers and top researchers. You understand and speak the language of computers. You can create a user-friendly application, detect and correct weaknesses in network security, and design a self-learning robot. In a world where information and information processing are of paramount importance, jobs abound. As a graduate of Computer Science, you could work as a software engineer at Google, an ethical hacker at XS4ALL, or a consultant at Accenture, to name just a few options.

Further your education

Do you want to continue studying? At Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam you can choose from a range of graduate master’s degree programmes, including ones with top rankings in the Keuzegids, the Dutch guide to higher education. One of these is the Master of Computer Science offered jointly by VU Amsterdam and the University of Amsterdam.

Your degree in Computer Science stands you in good stead to work as a front-end engineer at bol.com or a consultant at Capgemini, or even to start your own company as a software developer.
