  • I have a Dutch university level (WO) Bachelor’s degree (VU Bachelor’s degree, VU pre-master's or Bachelor’s degree at another university)

    The Master’s in Chemistry is open to students:  

    • with a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry  
    • with a Bachelor's degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences  
    • with a Bachelor's degree from a relevant Dutch HBO programme

    Chemistry is a joint degree between the University of Amsterdam (UvA) and Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU). Application and registration for Chemistry is done through the University of Amsterdam (UvA). Please follow the UvA application procedure for this programme. The UvA ensures your registration at the VU after complete registration at the UvA.

  • I have a Dutch higher vocational education (HBO) Bachelor’s degree (pre-master's)

    Chemistry is a joint degree between the University of Amsterdam (UvA) and Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU). Application and registration for Chemistry is done through the University of Amsterdam (UvA). Please follow the UvA application procedure for this programme. The UvA ensures your registration at the VU after complete registration at the UvA.
