How does nature work?

Ecology and Evolution (pre-Master's programme)

In principle, you’ll follow courses from the Bachelor's Biology programme, but you could also follow components from other programmes, depending on your deficiencies.

The default programme is the 30 EC minor Evolutionary Biology & Ecology. However, students from a university of applied sciences (HBO) may substitute the course Ecosystem Modelling with the course Diversiteit van Leven.

You’ll have to complete the pre-Master's programme (30 EC) within a year, so it is not possible to re-enroll for the pre-Master's programme. You can find general information about admission and application here. The Faculty of Sciences does not require you to participate in the pre-Master assessment, but you will need to successfully complete an English Language test. Please see the Admissions tab for more information.

- Environmental Toxicology
- Ecosystem Modelling or Diversiteit van Leven (HBO students only)
- Adaptation to Human Environment
- Behavioural Biology
- Evolutionary Genetics
