Lay the foundation for your legal career

Civic-minded and specialised: You know how law works

With a master's degree in Law under your belt, you will not only be civic-minded and specialised, but you will also fully understand how law works. In addition, with a master's degree in Law from VU Amsterdam you can go in many directions. You will learn to analyse and solve legal problems in a critical and scholarly way. You will develop expertise in one area of law (or two areas by following two tracks), but you will always get a broad legal foundation. If you opt for the private law track, for example, you will still be able to become  a criminal lawyer. When you complete your master's degree, you can work in any jurisdiction in the Netherlands. Thanks to the wide selection of tracks, you can really put your own stamp on your studies.

Thanks to the wide selection of tracks, you can really put your own stamp on your studies.
