The pre-Master’s programme consists of 30 EC and is thus a full-time programme. The programme follows a logical order. First, defining the Grand Challenges of Sustainability (course 1, P1), after which the three pillars of sustainability (Planet, People and Prosperity) are addressed separately, in respectively course 2 (Sustainability and Environmental Change, P1), course 3 (Governance of Global Sustainability, P2) and course 4 (Global Development and Prosperity, P2). The pre-Master’s ends in February with course 5 (Designing Solutions for Sustainability, P3), in which you will complete your Personal Case Study.
After successfully completing the ERM pre-Master’s, you can be admitted to the Environment and Resource Management Master’s programme. Students may use the period after completing the pre-Master in February until Master enrollment in September for self-organized internships.
