Business Analytics and Data Science

Do you want to learn skills to analyze logistics problems? Are you interested in the design and analysis of algorithms? Then the minor Business Analytics & Data Science is just the thing for you. Check here whether you meet the admission requirements and find out how to apply.

This minor is available to bachelor students of Business Analytics, Computer Science, and Artificial Intelligence from the VU, other Dutch universities and other European universities.

Admission

  • Admission

In principle, the minor is open to all students from VU Amsterdam, other Dutch Universities and other European universities. However, the minor is aimed at bachelor students of Business Analytics, Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence from the VU. The minor is mathematically oriented with quite some programming. So before applying, please make sure that you have: 1) affinity with mathematics, 2) programming experience (e.g., in Python), and 3) the willingness to learn extra background materials during the minor when needed. Furthermore, when a technical background is missing, it is recommended to choose the courses Data Analytics and Privacy, and Information Retrieval in period 2.
