This hotline is for subsequent internal and confidential reporting of physical accidents and incidents. After initial care and assistance at the accident or incident, it is important to report it internally due to legal obligations and registration.
Serious workplace accidents (hospitalisation, permanent injury or death) must be reported to the Netherlands Labour Authority through the unit's director of operations. The operational crisis team and the Health, Safety & Environment department can advise and support. You can find more information on the website of the Netherlands Labour Authority.

It is important that accidents are reported internally due to VU Amsterdam’s legal obligations. If the in-house emergency response team has been involved, the team leader will file a report. Minor accidents and near misses should be reported by employees themselves, or by their manager.
