The role of language in communication

Communication and Information Studies (pre-Master's programme)

The pre-Master's programme in Communication and Information Studies prepares you for the master programme. This programme consists of a maximum of one year of university courses, although most pre-Master’s programmes consist of approximately 30 EC.

The Admission Committee will decide on the exact combination of courses for each student individually. What your study program will look like depends on your previous study programme(s), specific knowledge and the specialisation of Communication and Information Studies that you would like to follow.

During this pre-Master’s year you will participate in courses of our Bachelor’s programme in Communication and Information Studies. Consider subjects such as Applied Statistics, Discourse and Social Interaction, Methods and Advanced English Language Skills. In this way, the pre-master is a perfect match for the specialisation of your choice.

View the studyguide to get an impression of possible courses per specialization.
