Religion is often misused to incite violent conflicts, while at the same time it is one of the strongest ethical and spiritual resources for conflict resolution and transitional justice. Not only between individuals or in groups, but also in reconciliation processes within societies, between societies, and with the earth.
In the Master’s Theology and Religious Studies you will consider and critically reflect on all of these issues, in the fields of research and education as well as in practical application, we will seek to connect with the needs and questions of today's societies by applying multicultural (postcolonial) hermeneutical lenses to the study of texts and traditions.
Religion Peace, Trauma and Religion is one of the tracks of the Master’s programme Theology and Religious Studies.
