The Shield of Organisational Integrity

Executive Master Compliance & Integrity Management

In addressing compliance issues, a holistic approach is essential, encompassing not only the legal perspective but also considerations of technology, ethics, and risk management. The Executive Master Compliance & Integrity Management approaches these issues from both a multidisciplinary perspective and at management level, without getting bogged down in small details.

Compliance is about safely achieving the core objectives of the organisation. The current landscape is shifting, with society mounting more and more demands on organisations and organisations creating self-imposed integrity standards. These measures aim to combat the risks that have surfaced over the past years. Within this evolving context, the role of the compliance professional is becoming increasingly multifaceted. Harnessing technology has become essential in navigating these new challenges. And as technological advancements redefine possibilities, it's pivotal for compliance professionals to stay informed. While they needn't be tech experts, they should be well-versed in the available tools and understand how to leverage them effectively for Compliance and Integrity Management.

Programme structure

The programme consists of four modules, each spanning approximately twelve lecture days. Each module concludes with a written exam and an essay. Outside of these sessions, participants should anticipate an average of about 12 to 14 hours per week for self-study (including essay-writing). The total study load is about 1,680 hours (60 ECTS).

Plenary debate and written exams:

Students conclude each module with a written exam. To successfully complete the programme, students are required to achieve satisfactory scores. The exams are designed to assess understanding and retention of the material covered in the respective module’s lectures, including literature that students must study independently. The total study load of the plenary lectures and the final written exams is about 1,260 hours (45 ECTS).

Concluding Essays:

Each year students are tasked with composing an essay. Achieving satisfactory scores on these essays is a requisite for successful programme completion. When following only one or more modules, an essay is not required. Each essay entails a study load of approximately 100 hours, amounting to a total of 15 ECTS across the entire programme.
