The Strategic Registrar is a seven-day programme for (deputy) registrars who want to investigate and further develop their strategic positioning and profile, so that they can perform their work in a more focused and robust manner.
During the programme, you will meet fellow registrars and discuss current insights and knowledge within your field, in a private and safe environment, with much attention to the interpersonal aspect.
A number of members of the education committee of the Association of Registrars followed the first course. The participants were so enthusiastic that they wholeheartedly recommend the programme to registrars of both provinces and municipalities.
The profession of registrar is an evolving one
In the turbulent environment of the public domain, registrars are expected, on the one hand, to give shape and direction to the day-to-day affairs of the council. But they are also expected to take on a leading role in contact with the outside world, with society. Strategic advisory tasks and influencing skills are becoming increasingly important, but are often pushed aside in the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
Afterwards
The objective is to make the participants more aware of their own (strategic) positioning and profiling and thus lay a solid foundation for their own development. An important secondary goal is to form a community of experienced (deputy) registrars who will further develop the profession together.
The Strategic Registrar programme is taught in Dutch. View the whole programme here.
