The director of operations is Mira Maletic; she is head of the faculty office and runs the faculty’s daily operations on behalf of the faculty board. She is also responsible for all faculty personnel matters.

Faculty administration and departmental office
The faculty board is supported by Kim Hopman. You can contact the secretariat at bestuurssecretariaat.fgw@vu.nl.
The departmental office can be contacted at afdelingensecretariaat.fgw@vu.nl. This office supports the heads of department and the faculty research staff. Their activities include taking minutes at (departmental) meetings, managing the diaries of the heads of department, correspondence, and general tasks such as room reservations, post and copying work.
The departmental office does not handle any matters regarding education. Please contact the Central Student Desk (020 598 5020) for questions in this area. -

Education Coordinators
The Education Coordinators oversee the planning of teaching at VU Amsterdam. Their activities include harmonizing the various degree programmes, timetabling classes and exams, as well as making room reservations. They also provide educational information for the study guides and give the departments numerical management data regarding education.

Finance supports FGW in managing the financial resources.
The Business Controller is mainly concerned with advising the faculty board, the director of operations and the department and section heads in the field of financial policy and management.

- Claims non-VU personnel - Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam On this page, you can find information about reimbursement for expense claims non-personnel; only fully completed form can be processed by the web-based application. Following data should be on hand:
- Name of birth, Surname, Address and Postal code Place;
- Your IBAN bank account, Bankkey (BIC) and the SWIFTcode is necessary;
- A cost unit or WBS element (your client is able to provide such data);
- The name of the authorized budget holder;
- Attachments to justify the expense claim (cash receipts, invoices, vouchers, mail from commissioner etc.) can only be added as a single unprotected PDF file. The maximum allowed size of the attachment is 3 MB. If your PDF is somehow protected, it cannot be processed. You can bypass this by copying your PDF to Word and then saving your Word file as a PDF file. This new PDF file can be processed and can therefore be added as an attachment.
- Service desks - Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (vu.nl) The Financial Service Centre (FSC) manages VU Amsterdam's financial administration. This includes small tasks, such as the receipt of your order, but also tasks like VU Amsterdam's financial statements.
